Hi and welcome to the mad house
If you bought the Glevum-bodied van then you've got company: margrae's van is a Glevum although it started life with a 2279cc slant engine.

Welcome debs and ray, I’m sure that a lot of bedfords would have stood the weight of someone sunbathing on the roof when they were new... But after nearly 30 years, I’m not sure I would risk it on mine... not that I think that I would fall through the roof, but the flexing of the roof sections would undoubtedly introduce some new leaks... ready for the rainy season.
Pack a sun lounger and enjoy.

Hi Debs and Ray
Welcome to the world of Bedheads, I've had my CF350 for 2 and half years now, like you I had old caravans before.
These vans are brilliant, yes i've had a few hiccups but nothing terminal (touches some wood).
Enjoy your van, and don't expect to get 0-60 in 6 seconds.
the more you drive your beddy the more you will learn about your van, and if you have any niggles theres lot of help on here for you, and theres also the search engine from past blogs.
Hope to see you at some of the many meetings that are organised on here, the next meet I believe is in Blackpool for the twinkly lights, which by the way are being switched on by Robbie Williams tomorrow (Friday night at 9pm).

hi again, well margrae all i can say is you deserve a medal as big as a dustbin lid. you have been to hell and back and i really hope im not going on the same journey.lol. yours looks great now after all your hard work. i know we have to reseal the front top window though it seems to be dry at the mo, it looks a bit of a mess we have done vintage caravans so we know what happens when water has got in.im sure we will need some help from yourself and others .it will be great to see them together reunited after 28 years hope there's no tears tho.looking forward to meeting you all:D debs and ray

Hi Debs and Ray
A Bedford's not a Bedford unless there are things need doing !!
A bigger medal should go to the long suffering Phil Bradshaw....he must dread the 'hi Phil' from me.
Funny how your avatar is a little cat similiar to mine !! kindred spirits !!
Again safe journey

we made it home
hi all, you can all uncross your fingers now, we got home with only a minor misshap of the indicators stopped working we also ran so low on petrol(only getting about 20-22mpg) so we had to park her in barnard castle for the night which is seven miles away from us.i had a sleepless night(after a few drinks) wondering if our new baby would alright on her own but of corse she was. it took us about nine hours to get home as we dident want to push it on a first long run.i dont drive but ray descibed the drive as "its like riding a bare back pig"would love to know where he has done this in the past lol.i am sure some of you will know where hes coming from.thanx margaret,im sure we are.hope to meet you soon.
